Cornell Seeking Some Home Improvement

ITHACA -- It's funny how two things that appear to be similar can, in fact, feel like exact opposites.
Two weeks ago, the Cornell men's hockey team came away from a weekend series at Colorado College with a 3-1 win and a 3-3 tie, and only a late goal by the Tigers kept the Big Red from scoring a stunning road sweep of sixth-ranked CC. Defenseman Nick D'Agostino described the tie as feeling like "a little victory," had the Red riding a wave of confidence back East.
Fast forward to last weekend, and after a workmanlike 3-2 win Friday at Quinnipiac, Cornell took a 3-0 lead into the third period the next night at Princeton. It all fell apart after that, though, as the Tigers scored three times in the first 12 1/2 minutes of the third. Cornell survived a late Princeton flurry, and came away with another 3-3 tie.
