Drouin Chasing Away Doubts in Summer Workouts

P.C. Drouin and Leo Thomas know there are tons of doubters who wonder why they are even bothering to play this year.

Why did the Komets re-sign them? Didn't they prove last year that their skills are already deteriorating? Hockey players are not like baseball players of the mid-90s who magically got better as they got older.

That's why Drouin, 37, and Thomas, who turns 30 in December, have spent every Monday night this summer skating at Lutheran Health Sportscenter, chasing the kids and their own questions about conditioning around the rink.
