ITHACA -- The coaching carousel spun madly this summer in college hockey, but Topher Scott took a quick ride and landed where he wanted to be.

"It's my dream job," said Scott, a 2008 Cornell graduate and former star forward for the Big Red who returned to Ithaca after the departure of longtime assistant Scott Garrow.

Scott, who spent a year at Miami (Ohio) working on his master's and serving as a volunteer assistant, is not the only new assistant coach at Lynah. Ben Syer, previously an associate coach for 12 years at Quinnipiac, joined the team following the departure of another former Big Red player, Casey Jones, who in May was named head coach at Clarkson.
