Nicholls Starts with Killer Bees
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League (CHL) announced on Tuesday the signing of former Cornell forward Dan Nicholls for the 2011-12 season.
Nicholls has suited up for the Big Red of Cornell the past four seasons. Nicholls is a grinding forward with a very physical game, Nicholls does not shy away from the big hit or physical confrontation. Though he did not register a goal his senior season the forward picked up six assists and 54 penalty minutes.
“Training camp is a great time for rookies to prove themselves and I’m excited to bring in Dan,” said Killer Bees General Manager and Head Coach Terry Ruskowski. “(Dan) has a certain skill set I am looking for to make this season a successful one for us.”
