Extra Forwards Provide Some Punch for Cornell

With the Cornell men's hockey team dressing seven defensemen for both of its games against Colgate last weekend, the forward combinations looked on paper like three lines and a couple of leftovers.
On the ice, that couldn't have been further from the truth.
Those two extra forwards on the line chart -- sophomore Erik Axell and junior Locke Jillson -- each scored goals critical to the Big Red's three-point weekend against the Raiders, the product of a 1-1 tie Friday at Starr Rink and a 5-2 victory the following night at Lynah.
