Iles Invited to U.S. Junior Evaluation Camp

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Cornell goaltender Andy Iles is among four goaltenders invited to take part in USA Hockey’s National Junior Evaluation Camp this August in Lake Placid, N.Y. The players will join the 40 skaters already invited to the camp in auditioning for a spot on the U.S. National Junior Team that will take part in the 2012 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, Dec. 26, 2011-Jan. 5, 2012, in Calgary and Edmonton, Alta.

Iles, who represented bronze medal-winning Team USA at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, N.Y., appeared in 18 games during his freshman campaign in 2010-11. He posted a record of 8-7-2 with a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.49 and save percentage of .914. In 11 League contests, Iles recorded a mark of 7-4-1 with a GAA of 2.23 and save percentage of .927.
