'Red-White' Game About More than Just Hockey

ITHACA -- For several reasons, tonight's annual Cornell hockey "Red-White" Game is more than a preseason scrimmage.
Given that the Big Red men have just begun official preseason practices and have two exhibition games a week from now, there is not much time for 17th-year head coach Mike Schafer to evaluate his young team.
"It's a huge game for a lot of our players," he said. "We get a chance to see them in game atmosphere."
