Road Takes Cornell to Archrival Harvard

ITHACA -- A week ago, Mike Schafer talked about how his youthful Cornell men's hockey team needed to learn how to play with a lead, after letting a one-goal third-period advantage slip away in a season-opening loss to Mercyhurst.
Tuesday, the topic was the same.
One night after a stirring 6-2 road defeat of defending conference champion Yale, the Big Red had Brown on the ropes midway through the third, but let it off with an "unacceptable mental mistake," as he called it, and wound up on the short end of a 5-4 score.
