Greening is Far from Green
The following article featuring former Cornell standout Colin Greening appeared in the November 9 issue of the Metro News.

Colin Greening has undeniably become another draft steal for the
Ottawa Senators. The question is, was his selection at 204th
overall in 2005 petty burglary or a royal jewel heist?
Time will tell, but in the short-term he’s proving he has
the substance and shine to be a serious Calder Trophy contender.
The St. John’s, N. L., native was runner-up to
Edmonton’s Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for October rookie of the
month, sitting fifth among NHL freshmen with four goals and eight
points in 15 games.
He has impressed with his Puritan work ethic, so much so that
coach Paul MacLean elevated him to the top line and has rewarded
Greening with an average of 17:21 of ice time, tops among
first-year forwards in the league. He is also a central figure on
the Senators’ second-ranked power play, using every bit of
his 6-foot-3, 211-pound frame to cause havoc in front of opposing
netminders and defencemen.
