ITHACA -- When coach Mike Schafer and his Cornell men's hockey team look back at Saturday's "Red Hot Hockey" loss to Boston University, which snapped a five-game win streak, they don't see it as a step backward or a loss of momentum.
"I don't think it sets us back at all," junior left wing John Esposito said. "I think it proves that we can play with the top teams in the nation."
As the 17th-ranked Big Red (6-3-0 overall, 5-1-0 ECAC Hockey) jumps back into conference play this weekend -- hosting St. Lawrence Friday and Clarkson Saturday, both at 7 p.m. in the last home games till Jan. 20 -- Schafer is encouraged by what he saw under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.
