SUNRISE, Florida — Here’s a task that might make Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray squirm just a little bit this summer: Negotiating a new contract for Colin Greening.
The value of the 25-year-old centre seems to be going up by the game. He had two goals on Thursday night — his first multi-point game in his 22-game audition — to help the Senators to 4-1 win over the hapless Florida Panthers.
Greening now has six goals and six assists in his 22 games. Pretty impressive for a seventh-round draft pick who hadn’t played an NHL game before this season.
