Cornell's Season Ends with Helpless Feeling

ITHACA -- Cornell had its hockey season end Friday night in Albany the way no team or player wants to have a season end-- with a sense of regret.
It began when goalie Ben Scrivens' shutout streak came to a portentous ending, with the goal being replayed over and over again on the Times Union Center's big screen like a bad dream, as officials reviewed what was clearly a goal.
And just like that goal, Friday's 6-2 season-ending NCAA Tournament loss to New Hampshire will be replayed repeatedly in the minds of the Big Red.
