Iles Awaits Turn

ROCHESTER – Goalie Andy Iles leaned over the Team USA bench Tuesday night, hoping for a chance that he knew wasn’t coming.
He wanted to jump right back into the hockey fire after losing a shootout contest to RPI on Sunday. But this was Jack Campbell’s evening, and the top prospect stood between the pipes for the full contest in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Czech Republic in a World Junior exhibition game.
Persistence and opportunism have carried the Ithaca native a long way in the sport, and he wasn’t going to trade in those traits for frustration now.
