ITHACA -- After a two-month absence and nearly 4,000 miles of
travel on its eight-game road trip, Cornell is returning home.
The Big Red's welcome home treat, however, is no cupcake. It comes
in the form of seven-time NCAA men's hockey champion North
Dakota.
The Fighting Sioux's visit to is its first-ever Ithaca. It's also
a return trip from last year when the teams split a two-game
weekend series. North Dakota used a four-goal third period for a
7-3 win in the first game, but Cornell rebounded in the second for
a 2-1 victory before a sellout crowd of 11,450 at Ralph Engelstad
Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.
