Moulson Ready for Prime Time?
The following article featuring former Cornell standout Matt Moulson appeared October 19 issue of the National Post.
By Sean Fitz-Gerald
TORONTO — They had approached Matt Moulson over the summer about using his name in an episode of 30 Rock, the popular NBC sitcom starring Tina Fey, and a program that the New York Islanders forward watched regularly, if not religiously.
“I guess if I wasn’t comfortable with it, then they
wouldn’t have used it,” Moulson said with a smile
yesterday. “I thought they were going to say something nice,
but I guess I’ll take it for whatever. It was pretty
funny.”
The episode aired last month, with Academy Award-nominated actor
Paul Giamatti guest-starring as a grumpy, bespectacled television
editor with a passion for Civil War re-enactments and a love of the
Islanders. Giamatti’s character was wearing a John Tavares
jersey during a scene in which Fey walks into his editing
suite.
