McLeod to Play in Denmark
Kevin McLeod, who played at Cornell, has signed a contract with Hvidovre Ligahockey (Denmark) for the 2010-11 season, the team announced Monday.
McLeod recently completed his third professional season with the Texas Brahmas of the Central Hockey League (CHL). In 43 regular-season contests, McLeod scored 14 goals and added 16 assists. He also played five contests with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League (AHL). In 2008-09, McLeod enjoyed his finest professional season as he tied for first in the CHL among defenseman in goals scored with 20. His offensively productive year ranked him fourth on the Brahmas roster (50 points, 20 G, 30 A) in the goals, assists and points categories. In three seasons as a member of the Brahmas, McLeod accumulated 114 points (46 G, 68 A) in 168 games.
Before turning professinal, McLeod played at Cornell. In three
years in Ithaca, the Calgary, Alberta native played in 13 contests.
He amassed one assist.
