Pokulok Retuns to Stockton
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL
affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, announced former Cornell defenseman
Sasha Pokulok has been released from his Professional Try-Out
Contract by the Springfield Falcons in the American Hockey League,
and will return to the ice this weekend for the Condors.
Pokulok, 23, signed a PTO with the Falcons on Jan. 22 and
participated in seven of Springfield's 13 games since signing. He
recorded five assists during his AHL stint, including a
three-assist effort on Feb. 6 at Albany, but had been a healthy
scratch in four games since. The Vaud-Dorion, Quebec, native is
currently second among all Condors blueliners with 25 points
(10g-15a) this season, while among all ECHL defensemen he ranks
tied for sixth with 10 goals and 17th in overall points. At the
time of his departure for the AHL, Pokulok ranked in the top five
in goals and points in ECHL defensemen scoring.
"Sasha has done a great job in Springfield but with all of their
contracted players he hasn't had the chance to play too much
lately," said Bakersfield head coach Marty Raymond. "We're happy to
have him back in Bakersfield."
