Scrivens Returns to Toronto as Marlies Call Again

READING, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that former Cornell goaltender Ben Scrivens has been recalled from the Royals by the Maple Leafs and assigned to the Marlies.

This is Scrivens' fourth recall from Reading to Toronto. In 11 games for the Royals, Scrivens has compiled a 8-3-0-0 record, and he is currently riding a seven-game winning streak for Reading. Scrivens' 2.18 goals-against average is second best in the ECHL, and his .936 save percentage leads the ECHL. Scrivens has played twice for the Marlies this season winning both of those contests (1.94 gaa, 0.942 save%).
