Having just completed his college education, it's likely possible Ben Scrivens wasn't really in the mood for another exam early in the summer.
Yet, this test was on ice not paper, and the free agent goaltender who recently signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs was happy to go under the gun yet again, facing his toughest hockey evaluation to date at the NHL team's prospects' camp.
Since he'd just finished getting his work marked at Cornell University where he toiled for four years with the Big Red in the NCAA Division 1, Scrivens was asked to grade his results from the camp in Toronto last week.
"I don't know; I'd say maybe a B. Things could have gone better but they could have gone a lot worse," he said in a phone interview from Toronto.
