USCHO Recognizes Scrivens
Cornell senior goaltender Ben Scrivens, a first-team All-America selection and the Ken Dryden Award recipient as ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year, has been named to the All-USCHO Second Team, it was announced Friday.
Scrivens,
the top goaltender in ECAC Hockey this season, finished the year
second in the nation in goals-against average (1.87) and first in
save percentage (.934). He also posted seven shutouts on the
season, tying his total from his junior season, and posted the
third-longest shutout streak in NCAA history at 267:11. That also
marked the longest shutout streak in ECAC Hockey history.
Scrivens closed out his Cornell career with a second-team all-league award as a junior and the first-team selection this year, in addition to the Ken Dryden Award for the best goaltender. He finished as Cornell's career leader in career saves (2,873) and shutouts (19).
