Cornell Finds North Country Ice Tricky

ITHACA -- Call it the North Country nightmare.
In recent years, that's what Cornell's annual weekend trip to
Clarkson and St. Lawrence has been.
The last time the No. 9 Cornell men have won at either Clarkson's
Cheel Arena or St. Lawrence's Appleton Arena was in 2005. Even
then, it wasn't easy. The Big Red got the rare North Country sweep
behind two late goals from Mike Knoepfli to beat St. Lawrence in
overtime, 3-2, and a Knoepfli goal and assist the following night
to blank Clarkson, 3-0.
