Cornell Adds Some Power to Play

ITHACA -- A program once maligned around the conference for playing a boring, low-scoring style, the current edition of the Cornell men's hockey team has proven it has the offensive capabilities -- now it's working on throwing its weight around.

The Big Red kicks off a four-game home stand and stretch of nine consecutive non-road games this weekend with its first ECAC Hockey tilts at Lynah Rink.

In the wake of last weekend's North Country split, Cornell (1-3, 1-1) has both rid itself of slow-start demons and gained some perspective on where it will move forward in the coming four weeks before the semester break.
