Though most of his work is done in the shadows, Cornell backup
goalie Mike Garman has been known to steal the spotlight.
In relief of starter Ben Scrivens on Saturday night and in his
first action all season, the sophomore kept Cornell afloat by
stopping all 21 shots he faced before losing to Princeton 5-3.
While playing junior hockey, Garman beat out starting goalie Marc
Cheverie for the top spot. Cheverie has been the starting backstop
for the second-ranked University of Denver the past two seasons.
