Toledo Acquires Romano in Trade
TOLEDO, OH -- The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci have announced today that they have acquired the rights to forward Tony Romano, who played at Cornell, from the Utah Grizzlies in exchange for forward Malcolm MacMillan and defenseman Justin Suda.
Romano was a sixth round pick of the New
Jersey Devils in the 2006 draft. Tony has split time this year
between Bridgeport of the AHL and Utah of the ECHL. He has appeared
in 21 games with the Sound Tigers (1g, 1a), and 34 games with the
Grizzlies (9g, 15a). On June 30th of 2009, Tony was traded by the
Devils to the New York Islanders.
