Scali's Sound Skills Help Stave Off UNH

The following article featuring Cornell forward Joe Scali appared in the January 6 issue of the Ithaca Journal.

When Joe Scali is on the ice, you generally don't expect much offensive production.

And why would you. Scali, a defensive-oriented forward, had just two collegiate goals entering the season.

However, the senior's savvy during an epic and textbook possession in puck control helped the eighth-ranked Big Red close out a key 5-2 victory at the University of New Hampshire. Later on, he added an empty-net goal -- his third tally this season -- with 1:59 left to seal it.
