SHELTON -- Most of the regulars are here for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. A few more may arrive this week, but the ones who practiced Tuesday at The Rinks at Shelton will be the core of the team.
The 12 forwards who took the skate are mostly young. They'll have to create offense out of that group after losing five of last year's top six scorers -- and last year's team scored fewer goals than all but two of the then-29 AHL teams.
Tony Romano, 22, could be a youngster to step up for the Sound Tigers. He's a skilled forward, but he managed only two points in 21 games last year.
