WORCESTER — Ryan Vesce’s ironman streak is over, a
fact that he is rejoicing in.
Vesce missed the first game of his American Hockey League career
last night because he was flying west to San Jose, where he is
scheduled to make his National Hockey League debut with the Sharks,
who play host to the Blackhawks tonight.
Vesce, 26, is in his fifth pro season. Worcester is his third AHL
team, and he spent two seasons in Europe. Vesce is
Worcester’s leading scorer with 15-33-48 totals, which was
good for a fifth-place tie in the league and at the time of his
recall, which happened yesterday afternoon, he had a
franchise-record points streak working of 13 games.
