Portland Signs McCutcheon
PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey
League announced this afternoon that they have signed former
Cornell standout Mark McCutcheon to a Professional Tryout
Agreement.
McCutcheon, who attended the Pirates 2009 Training Camp, started
the season with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL where he scored
one goal and two assists for three points in three games. The 25
year-old is a veteran of two AHL seasons with the Lake Erie
Monsters. In 128 games the Cornell grad scored eight goals and 18
assists for 26 points to go along with 143 minutes in
penalties.
The Ithica, NY native joined the Pirates in Norfolk for practice
this morning.
