Healthy scratch was a term Ray Sawada had no prior experience
with.
So you better believe the rookie right-winger with the Manitoba
Moose took notice when head coach Scott Arniel informed him on Jan.
11 that his services wouldn't be required for a game against the
Peoria Rivermen.
"It had never happened to me before so it was pretty frustrating,
it was an eye-opener," Sawada said from Rochester, N.Y. yesterday,
where the Moose continue a five-game road trip tonight against the
Americans. "I wasn't playing the way I should be and it's has
helped turn my game around a little bit these last few games."
