ITHACA — Michael and Patrick Kennedy have been scoring a
lot of goals lately for the Cornell men's hockey team, but perhaps
the biggest part of that equation comes from the smallest member of
their line.
Ever since sophomore winger Tyler Roeszler assumed the left wing
on a line with the Kennedy brothers the trio has been on fire,
racking up five goals and seven assists in the four games they've
been together. And while are certainly plenty of pieces to that
puzzle, the effect of Roeszler on that line is no coincidence.
"I think he's added a bit of a spark," Michael Kennedy said of
Roeszler. "He brings a lot of energy to the game, both on and off
the ice. ... And I think he's starting to gain some confidence now
and really trust his game. He's got good skill, good vision and
he's pretty strong for a smaller kid."
