Greening Earns National Academics Recognition
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell junior Colin Greening has been named an
ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District I At-Large First
Team selection, the organization announced on Thursday. Greening
now advances to the national ballot to be considered for Academic
All-America honors.
Greening, who finished second on the team in 2008-09 with 15 goals
and 16 assists for 31 points, earns his second Academic
All-District honor after being named a second-team selection a year
ago. He is a three-time Academic All-ECAC Hockey honoree and was a
second-team All-ECAC Hockey selection after guiding the Big Red to
a second-place finish in ECAC Hockey. He was also the only
unanimous All-Ivy League First Team selection.
Greening has a 3.95 grade point average in applied economics and
management. His selection to the ultra-competitive at-large program
includes student-athletes in multiple sports, including tennis,
swimming and diving, wrestling, lacrosse, crew and golf.
