Sharks Summon Vesce
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and
General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has
recalled former Cornell forward Ryan Vesce from the Worcester
Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American
Hockey League.
Vesce leads Worcester with 53 points (16 goals, 37 assists) in 48
games and was selected to the 2009 PlanetUSA AHL All-Star Team. He
is currently tied for sixth overall among AHL scorers.
Vesce was previously recalled on Jan. 31 but did not appear in a
game.
Vesce was originally signed by San Jose as a free agent on August
12, 2008. He played collegiately for four seasons at Cornell, where
he was a teammate of Douglas Murray.
