Big Red Scrambles to Fill Void of Michael Kennedy

The following article appeared in the February 11 issue of the Ithaca Journal.

 

ITHACA — Just like the phenomenon of a whole being greater than the sum of its parts, the reverse can be true — the void of a pivotal part can greatly reduce the whole.

Exhibit A: Cornell senior co-captain Michael Kennedy, who missed last weekend's games with an undisclosed injury. And he wasn't alone.

Younger brother Patrick Kennedy hasn't played since a Jan. 31 game at Clarkson when he had to be helped off the ice after sustaining a hard check. And Joe Scali, also a forward, missed last weekend's contests against Quinnipiac and Princeton.
