TORONTO — Mike Iggulden hopes his second professional game
at Air Canada Centre will be a more enjoyable experience for his
family and friends than his first one.
The last time the New York Islanders rookie suited up at the ACC
was three years ago for the Cleveland Barons of the AHL. Iggulden
is not a fighter, but midway through the second period he found
himself in a scrap with Toronto Marlies forward Ben Ondrus, who
will play for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.
After the fight, Iggulden retired to the penalty box for 19
minutes. He received two minutes for instigating the fight, two for
fighting with a visor on, a five-minute major for fighting and
10-minute misconduct because his sweater tie-down came loose.
