O'Byrne Recalled by Montreal
MONTREAL -- The Montreal Canadiens announced Monday that former
Cornell defenseman Ryan O’Byrne has been recalled from the
AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
O’Byrne, assigned to the Bulldogs on February 16, 2008,
scored six points (one goal, five assists), posted a plus-9 rating
and served 35 penalty minutes in 18 games this season with
Hamilton. The 6-foot-6, 228-pound blueliner played in 29 games with
the Canadiens this season. He collected three points (three
assists) and 29 penalty minutes.
O'Byrne, 24, was a Canadiens third-round selection, 79th overall,
in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
