It's rare for an owner of a professional sports team to leave his
luxury box and talk with fans. It's even more unusual for an owner
to field questions from some of his team's diehard fans for 80
minutes.
But that's what Florida Everblades minority owner Craig Brush did
Monday night at Germain Arena's Big Cypress Club.
Nine days after his club was eliminated from the postseason via a
three-game sweep by a lower-seeded team, Brush met with about 25
Blades fans. Brush set up the meeting so he could hear from fans in
the wake of the club's first first-round playoff flameout since
2003.
