Nash Named to CHN All-Rookie Team
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Cornell freshman Riley Nash has been named to the College Hockey News All-Rookie Team, the outlet announced Wednesday. Voting for the teams was conducted by a panel of writers from the online magazine.
Nash finished second on the Big Red in scoring, tallying 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points to finish one behind sophomore Colin Greening. He was also previously named the ECAC Hockey and Ivy League Rookie of the Year.
Nash's 32 points are the most by a Cornell rookie since Kyle Knopp tallied 33 in his first season on East Hill in 1995-96.
Cornell finished the 2007-08 season with a 19-14-3 record and advanced to the semifinals of the ECAC Hockey tournament before falling to Harvard. The Big Red closed out the year with a 4-2 victory over Colgate in the consolation game of the league tournament.
