Skate with Big Red Set for Friday

ITHACA, N.Y. -- The annual Skate with the Big Red evening will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at Lynah Rink. Both the Cornell men's and women's teams will be participating in this year's event, which will begin with a skills competition among the men's team before fans are invited to join the teams on the ice.
The event begins at 7 p.m. at Lynah Rink, and admission is free to the public. The evening will begin with the men's skills competition, feature events such as fastest skater, hardest shot and most accurate shot. Following the skills competition, fans will be invited to skate with the team and take photos and get autographs from their favorite players.
Team photos suitable for collecting autographs for both teams will be provided free of charge. If you have any questions, please call the Cornell Hockey Office at 255-4171.
In addition, donations will be accepted by members of the Cornell Hockey Association to benefit the Loaves and Fishes food bank in downtown Ithaca. Loaves and Fishes serves free meals five days a week all year long, and needs continuing support throughout the year to meet the needs of the community.
