Brown Secures Spot with Panther

The Augsburger Panther (Germany) announced Monday the addition of former Colgate standout Rob Brown for the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign. According to the Panther Web site, Brown has secured his German citizenship.

Brown has spent the past two seasons with ESV Kaufbeuren (Germany). In 36 games this season, the Brockville, Ontario native, scored seven goals and assited on 19 tallies. He amassed 18 points, including three goals, in 47 games in 2010-11.

Brown was a member of Dresdner Eislöwen in 2009-10, where he scored three goals and set up 18 tallies in 50 regular-season contests. He amassed two assists in three playoff games.

Prior to joining Dresdner Eislöwen, Brown spent two seasons with Riessersee, one with Landsberg and two – his first two seasons as a professional – with Peiting. Brown’s top offensive campaign was in 2004-05 with Peiting when he scored 10 times and added 30 assists in 47 regular-season games.

Competing with the Raiders from 2000 through 2004, Brown played in 143 games, scoring 19 goals and adding 49 assists. He scored nine goals and added 12 assists as a sophomore, which was his top offensive campaign.
