Huculak to Soar with Eagles

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today the signing of former Colgate standout Liam Huculak for the 2011-12 season.

Huculak (6-foot-5-inches, 225-pounds) has followed up four years at Colgate with four years of pro hockey -- the first two in the ECHL with and the latter two in the CHL with the Allen Americans. In 218 pro games, the physical forward has accumulated 66 points (30-36-66) and 501 penalty minutes. He acted as one of his team's assistant captains as a junior at Colgate and again last season with the Americans when he set career highs in goals (12), assists (12) & points (24).

"Huculak brings good leadership and a real physical presence to the ice every time he jumps over the boards," said Eagles head coach & general manager Chris Stewart. "Both of these players possess nice intangibles, and will add to the great mix of forwards we'll have at our upcoming camp."
