Two games into his professional hockey career, and Brian Day had already achieved something symbolic of the old school, throwback-style of play:
The Gordie Howe Hat Trick.
In his first game with the Bridgeport (Conn.) Sound Tigers last Friday night and with his parents, Roger and Linda, in attendance, Day scored a goal to help his team beat the host Portland Pirates, 5-1.
