Day Starts in Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced Thursday that Colgate forward Brian Day has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO).
Day, the Islanders sixth-round (170th overall) selection in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, signs with the Sound Tigers after completing his four-year tenure at Colgate University. The Danvers, Mass. native notched 25 points (10 goals, 15 assists) in 40 games this past season and finished his collegiate career with 110 points (54 goals, 56 assists) in 149 games.
