During the 2008-09 season, the Penguins’ offense featured some of the best talent around.  Leading scorer Janne Pesonen became the first Penguins player to not only reach 70 points in a season, but 80 – when he rang up 82 (32 goals, 50 assists) in 70 games.

Center Jeff Taffe, in 74 appearances, lit the lamp 25 times and also added 50 helpers in immediately becoming the second player to reach 70 points.

Mark Letestu, who was just awarded a two-year contract extension by the Pittsburgh Penguins for his efforts to date, put up 61 points (24 goals, 37 assists) to finish third in scoring.
