DENVER - Andy McDonald took perhaps another significant step toward a post-All Star Game return to the Blues' lineup on Monday morning. McDonald skated with the team for the first time during a pre-game practice in Colorado.

“Perhaps” is the operative term because each step for McDonald, or any other concussed player, must be measured against how he feels after a workout. McDonald, who has been missing with consussion symptoms since Dec. 4, was on the ice for the entire practice on Monday, the last to leave afterward.

The fact the 33-year old forward was able to make the trip and participate is important progress, provided it is followed by no symptomatic repercussions.
