Day Reaches Milestone

Brian Day is one of the purest goal scorers you'll find in the ECAC hockey league. So it was a bit ironic that the Danvers native got the last two points he needed to reach a major college hockey milestone on assists.

Colgate's captain had the helper on the Raiders' only goal last Saturday and with it recorded the 100th point of his career. Day is the 49th skater in program history to top 100 points.

It's been a difficult season for Colgate, which is 3-18-1 and a frustrating 0-9-1 in ECAC play. The trouble for Colgate is that they've been in position to get points in almost every game — the team has lost 11 games by one goal, another five by just two goals and they've fallen in overtime an astonishing four times.
