Brown Stays in Kaufbeuren
Former Colgate standout Rob Brown has agreed to a one-year contract extension with Kaufbeuren (Germany) for the 2011-12 season, the team announced. Brown joined Kaufbeuren in 2010-11 after spending the 2009-10 season with Dresdner Eislöwen.
In his first campaign with Kaufbeuren, Brown amassed 18 points, including three goals, in 47 regular-season contests. In four playoff games, the Brockville, Ontario native, scored one goal.
As a member of Dresdner Eislöwen, Brown scored three goals and set up 18 tallies in 50 regular-season contests. He amassed two assists in three playoff games.
Prior to joining Dresdner Eislöwen, Brown spent two seasons with Riessersee, one with Landsberg and two – his first two seasons as a professional – with Peiting. Brown’s top offensive campaign was in 2004-05 with Peiting when he scored 10 times and added 30 assists in 47 regular-season games.
Competing with the Raiders from 2000 through 2004, Brown played in 143 games, scoring 19 goals and adding 49 assists. He scored nine goals and added 12 assists as a sophomore, which was his top offensive campaign.
