Suddenly, Colgate hockey is back.
“Certainly the mood around here has been better than it has been in a while,” said Raider coach Don Vaughan, whose team will challenge top-seeded Union in the ECAC Hockey playoff quarterfinals this weekend.
The best-of-three series opens at 7 p.m. today at Union’s Messa Rink after the Raiders came back from a game down to upset RPI in last weekend’s quarterfinals. Freshman goalie Eric Mihalik, who saved 92 of 97 shots, including 40 stops in the double-overtime deciding game, led the way.
