Mihalik Garners INCH Accolades

His Impact: Other goalie Player of the Week honorees have had better numbers this season, but none might have had a bigger impact on their team’s season than Mihalik did for the Colgate Raiders. He was steady throughout, and spectacular in the deciding game, as Colgate defeated nationally-ranked Rensselaer in an ECAC Hockey first-round series.
Mihalik was especially impressive following RPI’s torrid start to the series. The Engineers scored three times in the first period of Game 1, and then totaled just four goals over the next nine and a half periods, as the teams played about 30 minutes of overtime in the series finale. Mihalik stopped 40 of 41 shots in the deciding game and Colgate advances to the second round where they will take on Union this weekend.
