Wagner Drafted by Anaheim

HAMILTON, N.Y. – Future Colgate forward Chris Wagner (Walpole, Mass./Xaverian Brothers - EJHL) was recently selected in the fifth round by the Anaheim Ducks in the annual NHL Entry Draft at the Staples Center hosted by the NHL's Los Angeles Kings.

An incoming freshman this fall, Wagner played last season as a right wing out of South Shore of the EJHL. The 6-0, 200-pounder put up 34 goals and 83 points in 44 games in 2009-10. Wagner was named the EJHL's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year after captaining his team to the Southern Division championship, matching the league's single-season scoring record and leading the league in goals and assists. Wagner made his debut with South Shore in 2008-09, earning 34 points (20g, 14a) with 72 PIM in 38 games.
