When Columbus Blue Jackets forward Ethan Moreau went down last Wednesday against the Anaheim Ducks, many thought the Blue Jackets’ third line which had previous success would lose a step. Rookie Kyle Wilson has stepped in ably.

Wilson was instrumental in Monday’s 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. He got 15 minutes of ice time on a line with Samuel Pahlsson and Chris Clark. Wilson also saw significant power play time on Monday.

“He has earned his chance,” Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel said. “We put guys in a position to have success. It is what they do with it and he has done a pretty good job of doing that.”
